Villa Riggia is an ancient villa built around the mid-eighteenth century, on the spectacular Ionian coast, 100 metres from the Porto Selvaggio naturalistic park.
The sea is 10 minutes on foot through a pine forest on the cliffs. The villa is located in an area called “Cenate” which is characterized by lush vegetation and its historic Moresque
villas, dating from the eighteenth to the twentieth century.
These historic villas are the old summer residences of local noble families and most of them are still used for this purpose
today.
“
The villa is situated in a park which is approximately 30.000 square metres large with olive and fruit trees, a pine forest and a swimming pool, a tennis court, a football field and a large parking space.
This completely restored property features a main building and four dèpendance for a total of 9 bedroom for hosting a maximum of 18 people. We can consider 11 more people
adding extra beds and/or sofa beds.
Each depandance is completely independent and therefore can be separately rented.
“
The villa is 1 km from the centre of Santa Caterina di Nardò (a splendid beach town still largely unknown by mass tourism). It is about 2 km far from the Lecce-Gallipoli-Santa Maria di Leuca highway connecting all the province. Moreover you can reach in 10 minutes the small harbour in the centre where you can rent a variety of boats discovering all the picturesque coves typical for their crystal-clear water. Nearby, there is:
- a scuba diving center where equipment can be rented
- Santa Caterina harbour where boats can be rented for daily trips
- bathing establishments and beaches: Sant'Isidoro, Santa Maria al Bagno, Gallipoli, Porto Cesareo and many others...;
- 1 km to the supermarket; not far from the most prestigious historic centre of the area such as Lecce, Gallipoli and Nardò.
